When I was doing all of the breedings last fall I was waiting and waiting for my Vera doe kid from Hoku. I was eagerly awaiting the strength, width, the correct feet and legs, and the beautiful dairy strength on the doe kid that I was sure would come. Well...that all ended as the 3rd buck kid entered the world and I was left with exactly what I wanted but in the form of 3 buck kids. So, I decided if the breeding was that special I may as well keep a buck! Val is extremely correct, he has such a beautiful front end assembly and lovely feet and legs. He is dairy and clean, while still maintaining strength and power. The view of this buck kid from behind is eye-catching. And to top it off he has the sweetest personality. Looking forward to using this boy in the fall.
Val was not used heavily in the fall, however, the kids he has on the ground throughout multiple herds are consistently correct. His kids exude his daiy strength and overall correctness. And don't forget, he passes on eye-catching rear ends; wide, flat rumps and arched escucheons.
