Cinnamon is rejoining the herd this year after spending her early years in a good friend’s herd to start his alpine herd. Life has taken him in a different direction for the time being and the goats couldn’t make the move so we are happy to have Cinnamon and her daughter Clover joining the herd. Cinnamon and her sister Rhapsody are the result of 15 years of breeding goats. They descend from the first goat that I ever picked out and I was met with a lot of push back on my decision to take Ethel home. While Ethel wasn't as good in confirmation as the other doe that I brought home that day, her genetics are more prevalent in both my herd as well as the Scarlet Hills Grades. That one breeding to Janet's LaMancha buck changed our breeding programs forever.
Cinnamon is similar to Rhapsody in many ways but it has been a while since I have seen her fresh so I am excited to see her freshen in late spring of 2026! |
