The opportunity to bring Vivace into our herd presented itself and without hesitation I made the decision to do so. Vivace is a special girl with a lot of the qualities that I have long admired about her dam and many sisters over the years. While she isn't the largest doe in the barn, Vivace is a very correct doe in her feet and legs, she's long and level over her back, and she has a beautiful front end assembly. Vivace is a smoothly blending and powerfully made doe, while maintaining a lot of femininity. Vivace freshened with a single kid this year and is lacking a bit in capacity as a first freshener so she appears to be a "next year" goat, but I am perfectly comfortable with giving her the time she needs to grow and mature.
Vivace freshened a second time this Spring and has really started to step into her light. Vivace has significantly more capacity in her mammary, and filled beautifully for her first show of the season. Vivace will continue to need more time to mature, but she has all the right pieces. |
